Oskaloosa needs to establish a First Friday Art Walk where artists and businesses display artwork for the public to enjoy. In addition to the display of artwork, diverse and creative celebrations of the visual, performing, literary, film, ethnic and historical arts should be accessible to all ages and cultures. The 1st Friday Art Walk has the ability to positively impact the local economy on multiple levels. It can enhance the quality of life within the community of Oskaloosa through the facilitation of events that encourages individuals and organizations to collaborate and celebrate within the community.
