The Public Works Department is responsible for promoting safe and environmentally sensitive development within the community, as well as planning and overseeing the construction of streets, sidewalks, and other public utilities. In addition to future planning, this department is also responsible for identifying and correcting safety and functional deficiencies in existing roadways and infrastructure systems. Water, Stormwater and Wastewater

Oskaloosa's water, stormwater and wastewater utilities are operated by the Oskaloosa Municipal Water Department.  Municipal Water can be contacted at (641) 673-8476.  Online utility billing for water/sewer customers is available at https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/oskaloosawater.

EPA Brownfields Grant

With respect to future development, the City of Oskaloosa has taken a large step forward by completing a total of $1,000,000 in EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant since 2014.
