North of F Avenue West, from North Market Street to North C Street
Through an inspection process, it has been determined that the sanitary and storm sewer several areas of the City of Oskaloosa has begun to fail, causing high inflow and infiltration. This project is a continuation of several projects that have been planned in order to provide effective and reliable sanitary and storm sewer service to residents. The project includes the replacement of approximately 1,130 feet of sanitary sewer main, 12 sanitary sewer manholes, and various other items associated with the work. The plans for the project can be seen below.
Residents currently using sanitary services in these areas will benefit directly as a result of this project. This project will also reduce the inflow and infiltration of excess water into wastewater treatment facilities, which will reduce long-term operating and maintenance costs.
The project is currently planned to be bid out in January. Bids will be opened in February before being presented to Council, and work will begin around the end of April.
