Project Description:
Through an inspection process, it has been determined that the sanitary and storm sewer several areas of the City of Oskaloosa has begun to fail, causing high inflow and infiltration.  The phase 2 project is the second of several projects that have been planned in order to provide effective and reliable sanitary and storm sewer service to residents. The project includes sewer pipe reconstruction (approximately 2,600 LF), sewer pipe lining (approximately 9,800 LF), manhole reconstruction (15 manholes), manhole rehabilitation (approximately 330 LF), and manhole invert repairs (33 manholes). Project Benefits:
Residents currently using sanitary and storm sewer services in these areas will benefit directly as a result of this project.  This project will also reduce the inflow and infiltration of excess water into wastewater treatment facilities, which will reduce long-term operating and maintenance costs.

Project Status:
This project is currently in the bidding phase, with the bid opening scheduled for March 15, 2018, and a public hearing will be held on April 2, 2018. Construction is planned to begin on or about May 1, weather permitting. The construction is divided into two divisions, with Division 1 being allotted 100 working days and including primarily sanitary sewer replacement projects and division 2 allotted 125 working days and including primarily sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects.
